Great spot, centrally located with a short 10mins walk to downtown Canmore. Room was awesome, clean, looked newly renovated with mini fridge and microwave inside. The pool with a waterside was amazing for kids after a day of walking and hiking the trails. Staff was incredibly professional and knowledgeable about the local scene, providing recommendations and helping with any requests. Our family of 4 had a great time and we really hope to be back, this time for a ski trip.

Good-sized clean and comfortable rooms, with full bath. There is a pool and hot tub, the slide was out of order. They offer in-room coffee makers, but there is an excellent 24 hour coffee, tea and hot/cold water service area near the front desk. They have 16 different teas available, plus espresso, cappuccino, etc.
They also have fresh apples for guests, a thoughtful touch.
An excellent breakfast is included if you book directly with Canmore Inn: eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, waffles, yogurt, oatmeal cereal, coffee, tea, etc.etc. a WIDE selection of Excellent Quality. Otherwise it's $11.99 or so, still a good value. I've stayed in a LOT of hotels and this was THE Best "Breakfast Included" hotel I've experienced.
There are many good restaurants within easy walking distance, with downtown Canmore a 5 minute walk away.
Parking is a little tight here, especially for large vehicles, but it's adequate. The staff is friendly, polite, efficient and very helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.
I forgot to include they have a good-sized conference room available on the 3rd floor. Management graciously allowed us to use it for our bridal party cake-cutting after the wedding. They really are very gracious and helpful to their guests here!
Canmore has several free miles-long hiking & cycling trails, much of it paved. Several miles are along the river - very scenic and enjoyable! The hotel is a good place to start and end trips on these trails.
Generally, it's somewhat cheaper to stay in Canmore than Banff, but you'll have to drive to Banff National Park, etc; and/or take a tour bus. Note that the National Parks restrict many sites to tour buses only to reduce number of cars and parking areas necessary. These restrictions are strictly enforced so plan ahead and research the sites you want to visit.

I highly recommend prepurchasing the breakfast buffet. We booked through the hotel website and received our breakfast for free.
