At Canmore Inn & Suites, we respectfully acknowledge that we are located on the traditional lands within Treaty 7 territory in Southern Alberta. This land, known in Stoney Nakoda as “Chuwapchipchiyan Kudi Bi” — meaning “shooting at the willows” — is the ancestral home of the Îyârhe Nakoda, including the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney First Nations.

We also recognize the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Blackfoot Confederacy — comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations — as well as the Rocky View Métis District 4 within the Battle River Territory.

We honour the past, present, and future of all Nations who live, work, play, and help steward this land. As part of the Canmore community, we are committed to living in right relations and supporting ongoing efforts toward Truth and Reconciliation.
