At Canmore Inn & Suites, we respectfully acknowledge that we are located on the traditional lands within Treaty 7 territory in Southern Alberta. This land, known in Stoney Nakoda as “Chuwapchipchiyan Kudi Bi” — meaning “shooting at the willows” — is the ancestral home of the Îyârhe Nakoda, including the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney First Nations.
We also recognize the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Blackfoot Confederacy — comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations — as well as the Rocky View Métis District 4 within the Battle River Territory.
